Mr. Landau,
Would you be kind enough to provide some empirical evidence to support
your thesis? Are you familiar with the specificity of training
principle? Following your advice, for example, how would you train an
MMA fighter for strength and muscular endurance, who must endure 5 min
rounds?
And what are you training for? Power? Strength? Muscular endurance?
Cardio-pulmonary fitness? Lactate threshold? Using your method of
"composing oneself" how would one utilize the principle of reciprocal
inhibition to maximize strength when one is trying to execute the
second exercise within three seconds of the first?
I'm not at all sure of what you are espousing.
The last guy I fought who took a moment to "compose" himself found
himself rendered unconscious in a New York second and subsequently
permanently retired from fighting.
