Looking at the study, both groups saw increases in squat and bench 1RM, with the 1RM squat increases higher in PR than PL. According to the authors, the training volume and intensity was comparable for the bench but the PR group had an increase (though p<.09) for both volume and intensity in the squat. This may have been the culprit - it wasn't the protein supplementation but the workout. John Witt Dallas, TX
