Hi,
The bottled version has high fructose corn syrup but not the powder mix.
I used 2-4 scoops of gatorade or powerade in my post workout drink.
Most grocery stores have the powdered versions for sale pretty cheap. I
heard you can buy pure maltodextrin at brew shops but haven't looked.
P.S. I'm looking for a used Glute-ham raise so let me know if you have
one for sale on this side of the world.

<<<<I would be cautious about drinking large amounts of Gatorade, unless
one is training at a fairly high level of intensity in the heat. It's
very high in sugars and has no complex carbs. I have my kids drink
Powerade diluted with distilled water. Powerade also has maltodextrin
which is a complex carb. This has the benefit of letting blood sugar
levels drop slowly, so one avoids the "bonk". I'm not thrilled with
kids or anyone else drinking stuff like "blue 1", so if someone knows
of a better product, please hold forth. I know they're out there, but
Powerade and Gaterade are ubiquitous and can be gotten pretty cheap
when on sale.
I think this is an accurate account of the ingredients in Powerade:
Ingredients
water, high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin (glucose polymers),
citric acid, salt, natural flavors, potassium citrate, potassium
phosphate, niacinamide, yellow 5, pyridoxine hydrochloride, blue 1,
cyanocobalamin
Nutrition Facts:

sodium 55mg; potassium 30mg; total carbs 19g; sugars 15g; protein 0g;
vitamin b6 10%; vitamin b12 10%; niacin 10%
One other thing of note is some recent research showing that, of all
things, chocolate milk is supposed to be as effective an energy,
sports or fluid replacement drink, (I'm not sure which one, perhaps
all three, I try to find the studies) as Gatorade. That certainly
appeals to my chocolate loving inner child.>>>>
