Hi Ed,
Thank you for your reply.
I am looking only for those with high level credibility. I am very open to
what area I want to study. I will be going into PT but who knows how long I
will stay with that? I love the whole fitness area. I want to study and
understand as much as I can not really to specialise in what area that I study
in; even if I end up specialising in working in one area.
Thanks for the names that you have provided; I will do some research.
Best wishes
Tony Sharah

There are many trainers and authors out there, but only a few have a
high level of credibility and are not just one-trick ponies that stick
dogmatically to one training approach. It also depends on if you want to train
performance athletes, body builders, or get into PT. In any event, here are a
few of the top ones:
Allwyn Cosgrove is one of the most well respected trainers in the world. He
totally backs up his recommendations with studies.
Paul Chek is huge on training stabilizers by working in an unstable environment.

I have just started studying to be a Personal Trainer. I am a mature student in
a class of mostly school leavers. Over the last few months, it has become
obvious to me, that my knowledge and success is going to depend on my peers. So
in short I want to make my peers the worlds best in the fitness industry. What
resources should I be studying? Who are the names I should be following? Do you
have any advice in any area for me? I have purchased a few of Paul Chek's
courses. What do you think of his resources? Who else is available? How do I
build up my knowledge to be able to read, understand, and put into practice
more technical resources? What is the path I should follow? Names of books,
names of people, names of courses or other resources would be appreciated; as
well as personal opinions of the education direction I should take.
I would be very grateful for any advice.
Best wishes
Anthony Sharah
