I was going to reply to Dan's post that I didn't understand why so many people think that it's hard to learn to squat. I grew up in a fairly rural area where kids played outdoors in the woods or fields. When we got tired from walking, running or climbing, we "hunkered down" in a full squat position and stayed there until we were rested. It was a very natural thing to do, because there weren't too many places we could sit without getting our clothes stained with dirt or mud. Nobody had to tell us to do it...or how to do it. That was back in the '60s and '70s...I guess not too many kids hunker down any more? I visited Nanjing, China in 2006, and my Chinese guide told me that Chinese parents increasingly complain that all their kids do is sit around the home playing video games, so it's not just happening in America.
