Hi Anuj

What is your current work out strategy? What are you doing at Gym? How do
you rate the intensity of the work outs, how do you measure your progress?

It is possible to do 3 weight sessions and 3 cardio type workouts, but to
really know what you can achieve, it is important to know what sort of work
you do and other life style questions, because if you increase the intensity
of your workouts, you will need to recover.

I would suggest high intensity interval training is very conducive to your
goals, but it is hard to know, if the steady state is at a high intensity
then that may be effective also, what did yo mean by steady state? If you
mean exercising in the so called fat burning zone which is often indicate on
gym machines as 50 to 65% of the so called maximum heart rate (220-30=190
*65% = 122 bpm) then high intensity interval is probably better.

Lifting weights using full body movements e.g. squats, overhead squats,
cleans, lunges, step ups and the like then is ideal for building muscle and
by setting the work rate well you can control body fat well, but this also
implies modified diet and lifestyle.
