[Supertraining] Re: Static Contraction Training slahra Mon Jul 14 07:01:55 2008

Hi Ed,
Some time back I followed a training program by Dr Ron Laura from
Australia. His program is called the Matrix System. It is based on a
series of isotonic reps and isometric holds that in his
words "activate muscle fibres at multiple points not otherwise worked
very effectively in conventional exercise".

Training is done at about 20% of max load. It sounds easy and not so
effective but its tough and gives great results. You can check out
his site at http://www.dr-ronlaura.com

His site has become a bit fluffy but his two books The Matrix
Principle and the Ultimate Matrix System are still good reads.
