As Mel once noted: "Since no such thing as a universally correct or ideal "balance" has ever been established, we cannot know what "normal" is for any given individual at different stages in his/her development as an athlete. In other words, we still have great functionality and do not experience the much vaunted injury profiles that people with these sort of "imbalances" are alleged to suffer. . If we remain so "functional" without experiencing injury, then why should we be in need of adjustments, which, incidentally, may impair existing neuromuscular patterns and lead to injury. I certainly would not take that risk with any well-functioning athlete with whom I may work, despite what I might see in some force plate, EMG, high speed video or isokinetic analysis."
