AtomPub: good. (I went to an Open Social talk at Google HQ in London
this morning and asked about AtomPub/GData/Atom, but they didn't
realise it was available in the spec, so it's not as visible, even
within Google, as the JS API..)

Openness: not so good.   I can't use this AtomPub interface to
push/fetch links from Orkut to LinkedIn for people and networks and
their activities. I'd like to have a view in LinkedIn that includes
all my Orkut contacts, for example. It would be possible, as long as
the sites wanted to do it (or each pairing of sites came to an
agreement). Both/all sites would need to use OpenID for a start...
