We have thought about it. This patch is not very invasive. It does not touch existing ATA code and not so much change existing CAM code. Scott even discussed it with re@ and got permission to integrate it, if we will be ready to do it before BETA3. So, testers are welcome, also SCSI and umass ones, to be completely sure that we are not breaking any existing functionality.
