RE: [CanonDigital SLRs] Happy New Year Howard Sheldon Wed Feb 01 08:02:22 2012
Nick I have the 5d mk2 as my main camera and the 40d (that I bought new) as the backup. I love the 40D. Hopefully things will get back on track, and you can be up and shooting again. I am looking at a 40D as a temporary second camera. Especially with the 20D getting up in age. don't want to have to be in the middle of a job and get caught with my pants down. The camera hasn't given me any indications yet, but with the 40Ds as low as $350-$400, I can't see me not getting one soon. I haven't been that active here. Several of you still using the 20D! I'll have to agree, it is truly a workhorse. I recently upgraded to a 40D and loving it. Sold my 20D to my youngest daughter who is wanting to follow in my footsteps.. and she recently got spoiled getting a new Canon 9000 printer, another tried and true workhorse. Slowed down my shooting somewhat, "LIFE" getting in the way, moving, job, etc... doing a few updates to my personal website and FaceBook.. Anyways.. Best of good fortunes, health and shooting to all of you. I hope to change that this year, but will be very sad to push it to secondary. That camera has served me for 7,almost 8 years now, and I love it. It truly is a workhorse. The old 20D is still chugging along as my primary workhorse - and still giving me amazing results. Smashed a lens, the side interface weather seal is broken and the top display has deteriorated and is full of crud but who cares because it just keeps on going! The only shame is that I had to abandon tethered shooting as the software support slowly died but hey, that's understandable. Best of luck to everyone in 2012 - where I might be taking my trusty steed abroad for a year of interesting experiences! - John Back Sent from my iPhone On 03/01/2012, at 1:36 AM, Nick Vettese <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Wanted to wish everyone on this list a Happy New Year.
