Re: [Canon_40D] Re: Pink Magnolia/Lens Choice Terry Mains Thu Apr 30 12:02:41 2009
Thanks for clarifying that for me Jess. I'm wanting to set my goals on lenses for the future. I have a 40D and am thinking of getting the new 5D MkII (FF) and will keep the 40D as well. I also have an older 20D and two cheapo kit lenses. I need to get rid of them someday. Other than some 'kit' lenses (with IS), I have the 100mm f2.8 Macro and a EF-S 10-22mm 3.5-4.5 USM wide angle lens. (the latter won't work with the 5D MkII) You do such beautiful work, I was ready to go out and buy all f2.8 L IS lenses (which I simply cannot afford). But I can see that F4 will work nicely although I'm still tempted to get the 70-200mm at f2.8 and perhaps one in a lower zoom range. I hope you're feeling better...stay well and shoot like h....
