[Minolta] D Lens david paul Wed Apr 04 06:08:06 2012
Thank you all for your feedback. I am trying to find out more information on D Lenses. I have been using just the regular Minola AF lens on my camera, but I understand that there are also lenses which will work better as they send ADI information to the flash. I phoned Sony on this and several camera stores and have not been able to get a satisfactory answer as to whether the D lens is required or not to use with the Sony A55 or A100 camera for better flash photography. Several people told me that you can use them anyway. My understanding is that the D lens have I believe extra connector prongs/interfaces that supply more information back to the camera. Will this help a lot? I can't believe that nobody at the camera store could answer how it would help. David [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
