Thanks for the replys. It seems that there is not much that will protect the 
plastic. Has anyone put on a thick strip of clear plastic tape or plastic pad 
where the body plastic meets the road? 
  Here is one of a couple "bike fell over" websites. I'm sure some of you have 
seen it but its still funny the second time around. I submitted at least one of 
the entries 10 to 15 years ago.
