in connection with preservation i  previously mentioned the Harry Ransom Center 
at the University of Texas in Austin.
they coddle the mightiest collection of Austin head art on the planet.

if you ever find yourself in our town you should make a point of visiting this 
resource...
anybody can walk in, get treated like an intelligent human.
courteous archivists that know will happily dig in the stacks to bring the real 
stuff to your face for inspection. no prob.

you will be provided with gloves.

they happily accept donations but it's no big deal.
