Re: Suggestions Not Followed Anne Mcneill Tue Feb 23 15:00:20 2010

Hi Bob, Anne from Scotland here. Oh my goodness, what a scare for you and
you're poor partner. So glad you are here to tell the tale and are willing to
adopt changes. We are only asked to try. I wish you well and of course your
loved ones.
Love and hugs, Anne x

Subject: Suggestions Not Followed

HI all I have been away from my computer for 13 days I have 275 posts to catch
up on.

We went out of town for 3days. Then because I did not follow suggestions from
the Doctor for over a year I found myself in the hospital with a possible heart
attack. I was at work reading water meters all of a sudden I had severe chest
tightness profuse sweating racing pulse dizziness all the classic symptoms that
we read about. I called the fire inspector to come and do a wellness check my
Blood Pressure was ok I was flushed rapid pulse and soaking wet. He called
the fire chief to come over and check me out they called my boss. I promised I
would go to the doctor to get checked. The doctor ran EKG all was ok. he told
me that my pulse was very high and my heart was working to hard I needed to be
seen by a cardiologist now !!! do not pass go do not fool around. The Drs,
office made an appointment with the cardiologist with in the hour.. The
cardiologist ran an EKG all was ok except left hand and foot was asleep
feeling, and pounding at the base of my
skull and neck. He said he could not say if I had a heart attack or if I did
not have one but I needed to be in the hospital right now for observation. I
ended up in the hospital from Thursday night to Saturday morning where I was
transported by ambulance to another hospital 30 miles away for an
angiogram/angioplasty, Was discharged 4hrs after the procedure to home. All
because a year ago my DR. suggested I take the high blood pressure pills,
cholesterol pills lose weight about 45 lbs quit smoking well I took the pills
until the prescription ran out then was lax on getting it refilled with my
fiancee asking every day did you take the medicine yea yea I told her, never
lost weight in fact gained more weight, never stopped smoking. So the moral of
this story is follow suggestions of the program and learn to really care about
yourself. Do not look for the easier softer way, Learn to love yourself no
matter what. This time when asked if I wanted to be
revived if something should happen I willingly said yes please. Before my
reply was I would sue everybody who brought me back to this rotten world.Today
I am grateful that my HP gave me a second chance to follow suggestions and to
be sober for another 24hrs I have not had a cigarette since last Thurs. I am
working on changing my old habits and diet and will be back to work next Mon
morning. The program really works if you do work it.
                          Thanks for letting me share

                                 Bob
