i agree about Atomic Rooster - a band I also keep meaning to check out
some more. i am currently on a prog fix and catching up on King
Crimson etc as well as modern day prog - so now is probably a good
time.

Kings X - try 'gretchen' - i first heard the track 'mission' on Tommy
V's friday rock show and was blown away. i bought the 'gretchen' album
and loved it. since then I have collected pretty much all albums - but
i admit that some do lack the excitement and power of 'gretchen' . I
recommend the 4th album too ( called 'Kings X' ) - others vary but all
have their moments. and live they really are unbelieveable.

Govt Mule is also a band i really need to check out. I love the
occasional track that i do hear by them.

i want to like Machin Head but just don;t get it. I came round to
modern day Opeth, and Tool, so maybe there is hope. but right now i
really don't hear anything that grabs me. i just got into Coheed too.
but Machine Head ? nah.....
