I modified the original patch a little so it handles mouse presses and  
releases, so selecting text in vim seems to work. Unfortunately I don't  
know how to generate a patch file. I made a fork that includes this patch  
and a few other patches (loads font from file, fixes local disconnects)  
that you may or may not want, including an apk download, here:
