The $40.00 Maxtor HDD is listed below. I could not find an ide at a reasonable 
price. For $12, I purchased a VinPower IDESA1.0 SATA to IDE Converter - OEM 
from New Egg, N82E16812381001. It fit nicely and less than 20 minutes later, my 
DVR functions back in business.

7Y250M0 Maxtor 250GB 490,234,752 7200 * DP625, SATA

I would urge anybody to undertake this job, it was easy and straightforward.
