Well, it's your machine. I personally left my paging file on, despite having
8gb ram on my new machine.

yes? on a small system that has less then 2 gigs of ram running more then 2
con current aps it wil cause a instability.
but on my power house at home with for gigs of ram, core i7 2600k uh sorry I
am rambling.
any ways. the reason I disabled the paging file here on this particular
system is to not cause
hard drive thrashing
this hapens when the pc runs out of memory and starts paging the files to
disk. as u may know disk memory swop files are way slower then ram can ever be.
also disabling the paging file. in general on a modern system along with some
other tweeks. can cause some performance gains.
windows seven is a bit of a memory steeler. but trust me. as a pc finnatic
I can tell u its very inteligent in that regard.
I'll explain that gem. later, if u interested

Lol, Win 7 itself is a major memory hogger. And why would you turn off your
paging file, you can cause instability doing that.

hi guys, can any one tell me if its normal that entombed uses over a gig of
memory.
I got 2 gigs installed on this particular system I am using and there's
about 800 megs of memory left after the game has loaded
and thats before I enabled the paging file
on this particular system I am running win7 32 bit
sp1
with all updates installed
any ideas?
