Re: [eskiepeople:16401] Priorities Debbie Deshotel Wed Jan 26 22:00:17 2011
Wonders what is ment by montana being a DEAD zone, sounds scary to me
sue, as a transport coordinator, i try to respond to ALL offers i get... even if it's just to say "i got that leg filled, but i appreciate the offer" and sometimes i even ask if the person is willing to be a backup driver... so not getting a response from the coordinator- shame on the coordinator... u didnt state where u are located? sometimes responding publicly to a coordinator to say "hey, i sent u an offer and havent heard from u" may get a response (sometimes a new coordinator forgets to check their spam/junk folders and yours may have gone there)... not making excuses, just explaining from experience. i dont know if carrie understands that eskiepeople is not "one group"... it is a discussion board where several specific rescue groups network (heartbandits, eskie rescuers united, snowbird/walnut hill, stacy & perry's group)... but w/o knowing carrie's location, it's hard to say WHY she's not getting a response... if she's in AZ, NM, Montana... those are pretty much black holes for other rescues (as far as im aware)... but being a discussion group that is not group specific (i know HB & ERU have their own discussion groups specifically for their members/volunteers)... i think complaining about lack of communication is bad form... w/o getting specifics from carrie, we're all offering concjecture at this timeDeborah M Guske Rockford, IL Assistant Treasurer (remove spaces) deborah@ eskierescuers. org goosky@ aol. com Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc 501c3 Non Profit Organization www. eskierescuers. org http: // video. yahoo. com/watch/4345334?fr=yvmtf Sonny Day Productions http: // www. sonnydayproductions. net/ Be a part of Sonny Watch! www. supersonny. net http:// www. youtube. com/watch?v=DCZqB2Dv8Gk Prov 12:10- A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal"I am involved in dog rescue: my wallet and gas tank are always running on empty, my house is never quiet and free of dog hair, nor is my car, my inbox is full of ongoing despair and misery, but my heart and soul are replenished with unconditional love, loyalty, and joy that can only come from a rescued dog!" ~ Author Unknown----- Original Message ----- *From:* Sue Sonnenberg <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> *To:* [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> *Sent:* Wednesday, January 26, 2011 1:46 PM *Subject:* RE: [eskiepeople:16393] Priorities Not sure if my thoughts are wanted here, but think Carrie may be referring that she has tried to volunteer with this group or give some help and has never gotten a response, I too have tried to offer help with this group a while back, offering to take a leg of the traveling and never got a response, I was a bit put out. But then thought better of it, I figured you didn’t know me from adam nor if I was going to actually help this dog or harm it sell it etc. So I figured that was why I never got a response. I presume you have to actually be part of a rescue group and join to become a volunteer. Maybe I am completely wrong here. There are a lot of people on these lists for whom our Eskies are our only family. We have grown very close to a lot of the people on the lists because of our love for our Eskies, but we have also grown close to each other as time has gone on. We are interested in each other because we consider each other a part of our Eskie Family. So we celebrate and mourn together . We laugh and cry together . We triumph and fail together . And, yes, we occasionally share a recipe or two, stories about our human families as well as our Eskies, in short, we share what families share – our lives. You sound like you are not just angry but hurting in some way that goes beyond your words. I would hope that you would consider yourself a part of our family and share with us. I read about babies who need help and wonder where they might be, because even though I mentioned before that a location would be helpful, I was ignored. It seems everything I have tried to do for my eskie babies or any other fur babies has been criticized and or rejected by this group. While I am forwarding messages and hoping and praying for homes for these babies, YOU are talking about completely ridiculous and worthless so called chili recipes and ignoring what is really important! What is wrong with you people? You call yourselves a rescue group, yet you ignore and or reject help from anyone who is not "one of your chosen few". From what I have seen, you are much more interested in promoting yourselves and what you do as individuals than getting others involved in helping these wonderful little creatures! You rely on each other and reject all other help! That is such a self serving and completely wrong approach to the real problem! I wish you well, but doubt that you will reach your so called "goals" considering your behavior. Carrie Burton (mom to a 13 year old epileptic American Eskimo, and a healthy adopted mixed breed).
