RE: Add submit button for quicksearch Bob Carver Mon Apr 18 20:00:28 2011

This might do the trick. I have it working in my setup A-OK.

In flexigrid.js, add this...
$(g.sDiv).append("<div class='sDiv2'>"+p.findtext+" <input type='text'
size='30' name='q' class='qsbox' /> <select name='qtype'>"+sopt+"</select>
<!--input type='button' value='Clear' /--></div>");
$('input[name=q],select[name=qtype]',g.sDiv).keydown(function(e){if(e.keyCod
e==13) g.doSearch()});

Before this...
$('input[value=Clear]',g.sDiv).click(function(){$('input[name=q]',g.sDiv).va
l(''); p.query = ''; g.doSearch(); });

And in grid config add (also in flexigrid object instantiation)
findtext:  'Find',

Subject: Add submit button for quicksearch

Hi all,

I want to do something simple, namely add a submit button for the
quicksearch field. This is because users more easily select the clear
button, than press on enter. The submit button should do exactly the same as
pressing enter.

How to do this?

Regards,

Geert
