RE: New beta snapshot and sdl parse error Howard M. Lewis Ship Tue Jun 22 15:01:54 2004
The <description> tags weren't adding anything ... not lean and mean enough.
The new look kind of
reminds me of Python.

Same here....
Apparently what was:
some-element {
description { "blabla" }
other-elements {
}
}
Now is:
some-element {
"blabla"
other-elements {
}
}

I removed all <description/> tags and things worked again.

Subject: RE: New beta snapshot and sdl parse error
Sorry to keep asking these silly questions, but is there an easy way to tell
what all changed between the last 2 beta releases? In particular, with the
way the sdl and/or descriptions are parsed?
My sdl works with the older beta, but with the new beta I get the error:
./META-INF/hivemodule.sdl: Unexpected element description within
module/service-point
at org.apache.hivemind.parse.DescriptorParser.parse(Unknown Source)
at org.apache.hivemind.impl.RegistryBuilder.processModule(Uknown Resource)
...
Notice there are no line numbers where the error occurs. Previously, if I
had an sdl error (which I had several while converting from xml), it would
show me at what line number it occured.
Thanks,
Randy

Subject: New beta snapshot
An updated version of the 1.0-beta-1 snapshot is now available.
HiveMind is looking very, very good now. I'm pleased with the code and
looking forward to a fast beta and then a GA.
If you check the change proposals on the Wiki, you'll see that people have a
lot of ideas about how to extend HiveMind, and that's good ... for the 1.1
release.
