[Marketing] Raspberry Pi stick computer (Competitive Landscape) Gary Martin Fri May 06 06:01:09 2011

A small computing device using HDMI, USB, and running an ARM based Ubuntu OS.
Target price is about £25, aiming at computer science education. It's a
Cambridge (UK) linked non-profit. Here's the link to a BBC blog about the
device (also mentions OLPC):

This is their current web site for the device (spec):

Here's a BBC interview with David Braben (the author of the classic Elite game):

It is a little low on working memory at 128Mb, I'm not sure an SD storage card
is included in the target price, and there's no mention of networking hardware,
but would be curious to see how well Sugar might run on it — Sugar running on a
stick, rather than just off a stick. ;)

Regards,
--Gary
