Yes, upon the wiki, each 'modules' (server, mailbox, imap...) are built 
separately and copied on the server.
There is also the special case 
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/project/branches/server_docs_3-alpha_and_2.2.0/
 for the http://james.apache.org/server/ page.
