agreed, pull plug, attached to spark plug and ground spark plug to metal for a 
ground and turn /crank bike over...check for spark.

The wet plug and below par running could be faulty spark on that 
cylinder.Check you have a good spark first or rotate the spark plugs and see if 
the problem is with that particular plug or that particular cylinder (carb/HT 
lead/coil).

If your filter's dirty try running some Seafoam through it.

1986 vamx

My bike just started running a little less than normal 
today, I checked all four plugs the #4 plug was a little wet and the rest were 
normal light brown. The usual fuel filter will be replaced tomorrow (looked a 
little black on the out line). What would the right fix for the wet plug on #4 
be?
