It does in fact look like the same problem (at least for the actual
keyboard version).  It's good to see I'm not the only one.  ;-)

And I notice that comment 14 is someone reporting that it started
happening for him when he upgraded his Debian sid (just like me).

As I posted, I put just this kind of logging (well, printf) information
into MythTV.  MythTV (and in fact qt) really are receiving multiple
KeyPress events from X.  But only when mythfrontend is running, and it's
in a menu (not the playback mode).  The question is why, and how to stop
it.
