I get to my mythbackend recordings via XBMC for Mac and MythWeb now. MythBackEnd and MythWeb are great and I can't live without them. MythFrontEnd is well, how to say it, is a memory pig. Since it works for the devs under high powered hardware, there is not much change going to happen. I've given up trying to fix LiveTV, it's hopelessly broke by design and feature creep that unless it's on a combined front/backend high powered box and I'm sorry but that type of hardware does not live in my media room. It needs a complete re-write and I'd rather spend my time creating a new mythfrontend lite that is very fast, can handle LiveTV and does not suck down all the system resources. That's a long term project. I do run mythfrontend for AppleTV development but my main frontend is XBMC for Mac running on an AppleTV. The only real reason for mythfrontend is XvMC hardware assisted mpeg2 decode for 1080i content. I do have a build of MythBuntu under the Moblin sdk, it's quite lightweight for X11 but that was to try and free up as much resources for mythfrontend. I have three AppleTVs that are for various stages of software development. One is stable, the other two are for unstable development ;) They are all in the "media room" and silent as mice. The mytbackend is upstairs in a closet where is can make all the noise it wants. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
