It doesn't really.  Its only looking at your repository to provide timeline
and browse functionality and doesn't allow you to change anything from
within trac.

With the commit hooks, from the subversion repository, you can affect
elements of Trac but not the other way around.

There are security settings in Trac, either the basic stuff trac permissions
eg. TRAC_ADMIN, through svn authz/policies or Trac fine grained permissions
that allow you to restrict access to the repo for your trac users.

Not sure why you think that Trac being able to look at your repo is a
problem?
