Issue re LLVM-GCC 4.2 compiler in Xcode 3.1 Bill Cheeseman Fri Jul 18 07:00:30 2008
The LLVM-GCC 4.2 Release Notes say: " To turn on Link-Time Optimization use -O4 command-line option or set the Optimization Level build setting to 4 in the build settings editor for the appropriate target." On my computer, with Xcode 3.1 installed, the Code Generation "Optimization Level" build setting pop-up does not contain a menu item for level 4. However, there is a setting called "Link-Time Optimization," with a check box to turn it on. Am I right in thinking that this is the setting to use, and that the Release Notes simply didn't catch up with the final Xcode UI? -- Bill Cheeseman - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Quechee Software, Quechee, Vermont, USA www.quecheesoftware.com PreFab Software - www.prefabsoftware.com _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
